I’ve watched the grounds you walk along , alone.
This feeling inside me tells me bring you home
I know you’ll listen to reason
I’ll make you listen to reason.
Your face is etched in my mind.
I’ve got a place we can hide. For all time.

They promise you forever and then they run
faster than their little legs will carry them away.
How does it feel to know you destroyed the world.

This is inclined to hurt by design.
I don’t think I’m seeing you living this time.
And behind my back is the knife
all of the dullest things ending your life.
How does it feel to become
the best thing I’ve ever done.

They promise you forever and then they run
faster than their little legs will carry them away.
How does it feel to know you destroyed the world.

I’ll release you. Yes I’ll release you. I’ll release you and sever the pain
I’ll release you. Yes I’ll release you. I’ll release you. From this charade.

They promise you forever and then they run
faster than their little legs will carry them away.
How does it feel to know you destroyed the world

about

The Phantom Eye Brooklyn, New York

Brooklyn based trio consisting of drummer Larry Hundertmark (ex-Neck), Vocalist/Guitarist Pete Ross (Godmaker), & keyboardist Rob McKinney playing the Rhodes piano. They blend elements of psychedelia & shoegaze with huge drums & brooding vocals. Guitars oscillate between spacey & heavy, the drums between mellow & hammering, while the Rhodes holds down the low end.
